My clients always apologize if their children are uncooperative during their portrait sittings. No one EVER needs to do that. I have the two most uncooperative children on earth. They always act up horribly during our photo shoots. This year, my sister Leslie was kind (or foolish) enough to help. We had to bribe the kids with a promise to play hide-and-go-seek if they were good. They were not good and we played hide-and-go-seek anyway. The first picture is of Leslie and Sophie.

Beth Bourgeois and Jared Lee were married on a perfect fall day at Willow Pond in Monticello, Florida. It was so pretty at Willow Pond. I love the portraits we took in the hay pasture. After a lovely ceremony, Beth and Jared's guests enjoyed dinner by Andrew's Catering and dancing with Eppes Entertainment. Beth is a New Orleans native, and I always love the colorful wedding traditions of Louisianans. Jared is an honest-to-goodness cowboy, so they incorporated cowboy elements into the decor. The cake, created by Margaret Springer, was decorated with horseshoes. Lisa's Bartenders provided the bartending services.

I've enjoyed reading Ashley-Anne's blog since she was pregnant with her daughter Kyndall. Ashley-Anne is such an awesome mommy and I felt like I already knew her whole family by the time we met in person for Kyndall's one year portraits. Kyndall is an absolute doll. She'd just gotten her ears pierced. We took some smash cake portraits at the studio as well as some beautiful outdoor portraits at Maclay Gardens. Tiny little Kyndall ate almost the entire cake! I had a blast during Kyndall's portrait session. Thanks so much, Ashley-Anne, Phyllis and Kelly for your hard work in helping me get some great shots of the little princess!

Elizabeth and Scott

Elizabeth Gravitz and Scott Elliott had the most beautiful wedding. The whole week leading up to the wedding was full of excitement. All of their friends and family descended on the picture-perfect town of Thomasville, Georgia, where Liz's parents own a bed and breakfast, Freedom Oaks. When I arrived at the elegant home, the kitchen was bustling with girls getting their hair and makeup done. They all looked just gorgeous. Everyone loaded up and headed to nearby Pebble Hill Plantation. After final touch-ups, we headed out to the amazing grounds for portraits with the bridal party. I was even able to photograph Elizabeth inside the main house. What a treat!

The ceremony was held in the stable courtyard. Music plays a huge role in Elizabeth's life and she incorporated it beautifully into her wedding. It was truly amazing.

The reception, held at Uno Hill, was so much fun! What a perfect night!

The happy couple is starting their lives together in Miami.

Sophie's Dance Portraits

Here are some of my daughter Sophie's dance portraits. We took them at my sister Leslie's beautiful house and meadow garden in Quincy. Sophie was being an absolute pill, so it's a miracle that we got any good shots! Sophie has diva tendancies. I think her costume is the prettiest one she's ever had in her 7 years at Sharon Davis School of Dance. Her recital was great! Thank you so much to her awesome teacher, Ms. Jackie!

Kristen Snyder and Steve Costa were married in a beautiful Mass at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on April 9. When I arrived at Kristen's parents' house, where Kristen and her bridesmaids were getting ready, the house was buzzing with excitement. Vendors and family were making final touches to all the preparations. The bridesmaids- Kristen's sisters- were gathered in a childhood bedroom helping Kristen into her gown.
After the Mass at Good Shepherd, the guests enjoyed a beautiful reception held at Kristen's parents' lovely Brill Point home. It was the perfect setting, with the lawn sloping gently toward the sparkling water of Lake Jackson. We got some beautiful images- Steve and Kristen are so happy together. Congratulations!
